JAQUEMI
Book #1: Chameleons and Fitful Spirits
Book #2: Little Saints, Force Majeure
The JAQUEMI Novels present French chef/travel writer Maxou Fondant, his talking pet Tui bird Jaq, and his mercurial romance with beautiful former dancer Arielle, who now runs a small auberge in the South of France. In the course of their ups and downs, through locales from Paris to Provence and beyond, Maxou, Jaq, and Arielle encounter mysteries to be solved, dalliances with organized crime, brushes with the supernatural … and, thanks to Arielle’s sister, designer Fabienne, forays into the world of haute couture. Through it all, Jaq—a savvy bird who chooses his words carefully—remains the voice of reason. Sometimes the sole voice.
